Jane Okondo

Having come to a deep understanding that healing happens so easily and naturally in the presence of love, Jane's work continues to lead her from one area of research to the next in a wonderfully unexpected and organic path. Her research and personal exploration has shown how we most definitely have the capacity to create a life that is beyond our survival patterning and the influence of past experiences. The work of pioneers such as Emilie Conrad, Joseph Chilton Pearce, Bruce Lipton and O. Fred Donaldson, to name but just a few, reveals a strong surge towards our natural capacity to live as a body of love and find a place beyond the deadening claws of 'enculturation'.

"Having had the privilege of listening to the cranial tides of Emilie Conrad, the founder of Continuum, I forever gave up my notion that our being is at all limited. I was blown away by the realisation that my concept of how fluid moves within us was utterly limited. Listening through touch to her fluidity opened me up to a new dimension of what is possible as an expression of life."

She is married to Mudimo who runs drum circles, wellbeing workshops and coaching in finding your own rhythm.

Jane has been working in private practice in the healing arts since 1994, drawing from her skills as an integrative breath therapist, craniosacral practitioner and art therapist. In Breath therapy she trained with Sondra Ray; Diana Roberts, Ben Renshaw, Dan Brule, and Bob Mandel. Her post-graduate studies in craniosacral therapy were with Franklin Sills at the Karuna Institute in Dartmoor and Mike Boxall. This awoke her interest in how the fluid system provides a deep healing intelligence in the body.

At the same time she was training as an Integrative Arts Psychotherapist with the I.A.T.E in London. Jane integrated the use of art and play into her practice with breath therapy, which was the foundation for the One Year Seminar program established with Gerd Lange in Jan 1997. In June 2001 Jane and Gerd founded the InBreath Institute.

Jane's focus of research has been on the connection between breath, somatic trauma, and fluid body dynamics in relation to softening and freeing up defense mechanisms, and how this connects on an physical / emotional / psyche level. She studied with Babette Rothschild in Somatic Trauma, and more recently has been integrating the principles of Continuum movement into her work, studying with Emilie Conrad the founder of Continuum and obtaining an MA in Dance: Somatics and Wellbeing. Jane is the Authorised Continuum Movement teacher in the UK.

Jane's interest is in creating programs that allow people to escape from living within the survival circuit and opening to living life from deep relaxation, health, and creativity, both within their being, and throughout their daily life.
